Location: Seattle, WA

Compensation: $105,000 – $115,000 annually

Bonus: Performance-based bonus program (up to 10% paid quarterly)


Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a well-established, high-volume Italian restaurant in Seattle. The Executive Chef will be a hands-on leader who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the kitchen. This role requires a strong background in leadership, creative culinary technique, and the ability to inspire and mentor a dedicated culinary team.

The position is highly engaged, with significant time expected on the line working alongside your team. An open schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required. Limited relocation assistance may be available for candidates applying from outside the Seattle area.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
  • Lead short- and long-range planning for menu development, costing, equipment, and budget needs.
  • Drive profitability by managing food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage performance of the culinary team, fostering a collaborative and professional kitchen culture.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to align on restaurant vision, guest experience, and operational goals.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, setting high standards for professionalism, teamwork, and creativity.


Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Strong culinary background with expertise in seasonal menu creation and innovative dining experiences.
  • Expertise in authentic Italian cuisine & techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in cost control, P&L management, and budget planning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience through food and service.
